The power of print

Aside from a digital presence, print can create value for your brand. Not in a traditional way because print requires 'different' thinking. Print slows people down, which is a rare commodity nowadays and, therefore, can be a positive thing. Dare to develop different sizes, shapes, textures, and folding methods. Think about your content and how you want to present it. Invest in photography, layout, and printing techniques, and you're guaranteed to make a statement and stand out.

The smell of paper…

It’s no secret. I like the smell of paper and the quality of time that paper represents. I started my career as an editorial designer developing concepts for publishers such as Sanoma and DPG media. Clients, amongst others, are Het Nationale Ballet, Oxfam Novib, KWF Kankerbestrijding. Chances are big, you’ve read or held a magazine that I helped create.

Black and white book design

When writer Tim van der Vliet handed me several A4-size Word documents for his book Spiritual Awakenings (the easy way), I turned it into a book that became a bestseller. With a limited budget, I used typography only as a design element, giving each chapters a bold and fun layout. The book is sold at Hay House Publishers, Penguin Random House, Amazon, Bruna and Bol.com, amongst others.

Postcards with love

When you think of someone, make it special. Send one of my fifteen hand drawn and illustrated postcards, that express your gratitude for love. All postcards are printed on high quality, 100% recycled Woodstock paper, 285 g/m². Find them online or at various concept stores in Amsterdam.

Rare books, brought to life

Bright Lights published a selection of rare books, featuring stories of Isaac B. Singer, Knut Hamsun and Anton Tjechov, amongst others. Each book cover has a similar design, yet the colors are different.
